See, in my fantasy, when I'm kissing you... you're kissing me. It's okay. I can wait.

Wow, Gus, Switzerland sounds amazing! I'm kinda jealous! Also impressed by your language abilities--even if your french and german aren't great now, you already speak a bunch of things, and I'm sure they'll be very good very soon!!

Mmm, bakery...I live above a 7-11, which is more convenient (24 hours!) but less yummy.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Just thought I'd mention for anyone who has yet to get all the Angel or Buffy DVDs: starting October 13, 2004, you can buy the complete season sets for under $60 each on ezydvd.com.au. Not sure how long it will last, or if other sites/shops will have it for the same price, so start saving your pennies and get in quick.

Can I guess? I think this must be the dignified Swiss version of that great American invention, the Yummy Hut.

(There really is a Chinese takeout place near me called the Yummy Hut.)

Swouncing

Can't resist poking my UnAmerican currently-mostly-lurking head (which is like mostly-dead, in Internet meaning, I guess, because how much you're alive on the net is measured by how much you post, right? So if you mostly-lurk, then you're mostly-net-dead, but you don't need a miracle in order to get back to life - or, well, in the current state of things, with this unending paper to hand at the end of the week, maybe what I need really is a miracle. Preferably with chocolate coating (do you think they make kosher-chocolate-coating for kosher-keeping miracle-seekers?) and how can I get this sentence more convoluted and with more parenthases?).

Anyway.

All I wanted to post was: Fiona! Gus! Fay! Angus! moonlit! jimi! Fellow UnAmericans! Fellow UnUnAmericans who visit the UnAmericans thread!

There.

(I do not, however, wear any black mask, have any skill with a sword, or had built any immunity to any sort of poison. Also, none of the professors who keep giving me work has six fingers in any sort of hand.)

Art Crawl!!!

Hey unamericans -- Whedonesque had some entry (which I can no longer find) about Buffy and Angel "character" dvds -- it looked like they were sets of dvds with episodes of BVTS or Angel featuring specific characters.

I don't know whether this is really of interest to anyone -- but they are apparently in existence or will be soon.

Also, Angel Season 5 Region 2 won't be out 'til 2005.

(I hope Region 1 won't have to wait to get it -- I had suspected that we'd get season 5 in Feb. 2005, but if region 2 isn't getting it 'til then - - who knows?)

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

t quashes a suspicion that Nilly has been at the espresso, again

When it comes down to being a romantic place for the beginning of a relationship, Switzerland does not suck.

Oh, you have to get used to people all around you hocking up German like so many cats with hairballs all day long. There is nothing to be done about that. The scenery, though, and a certain centered geniality on the part of almost everyone you meet, makes up for that.

Today was a walking tour of Bern, followed by elaborate dining. Now comes the sleeping.

These are they: They look a bit rubbish, with awful selections:

Jim, can you shorten those URLs? They're stretching my screen rather a lot.

To every idea a shelf...

Yeah, they're pretty bad, even considering how difficult it would be to choose representative episodes. I think the Spike one has the best selection. The Willow one is more about her relationship with Oz than about Willow herself. The Faith and Angel ones are just weird and lopsided.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

wow, talk about milking it for all it's worth. If they get released in Oz I'll be hiring and ripping the special features but there ain't no way I'll buy them.
