And almost sixty-five percent of that was actual compliment. Is that a personal best?

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Totally not of any topic but am I the only person in the world who didn't know the benefits of vinegar?

I was flicking through one of my mum's UK magazines and noticed a big ad for a book about vinegar. I mentioned it to mum and she was like, "Oh yes, we have The Vinegar Book. Your dad drinks a vinegar mixture to help prevent urine infections." WTF!

So anyway, I borrowed the book and then jumped online to see what else I could find. So far this site has the most information available.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

jimi, if you think that's exciting, you should try spilling tomato sauce on a copper-bottomed pot some time. Tomato polishes copper! (If you leave it on long enough.)

To every idea a shelf...

Okay, I really hope this is a pumpkin soup-induced hallucination: as far as I can tell from the TV guide in The Weekend Australian, Angel is not on Channel 7's schedule next week. At all.

Fuckers.

Emlah ... ebroadcast.com.au also doesn't list it.

Double Fuckers!

According to another forum, it's only gone for one week. I was really worried that they'd given up on it completely. I'd tell Channel 7 to kiss my ass, but I don't think evil robots have lips.

*snerk*

Ebroadcast has next week's listing online and it shows Angel pencilled* in for next Thursday at 11:30pm.

* they use pencil b/c ink would muck up their pretty schedule sheets whenever they decided to reschedule a show/timeslot without warning

Okay, I just spent the last hour or so searching for confirmation but couldn't find anything, so I guess I shouldn't really post this information but: I mentioned to a friend that another friend sent me VCDs of the first 6 Firefly episodes. (I LOVE YOU MOONLIT!) He then mentioned that he'd read a review of the DVDs in the game magazine, Hyper. He couldn't remember the release date, so he's going to get back to me about it but he claims they only review something that is getting an Aussie release. In other words, the Firefly DVDs are getting an Aussie release and reasonably soon. Fingers crossed that he wasn't thinking of something else!

"When the world's run by fools it's the duty of intelligence to disobey." Martin Firrell

Interesting proposition ej, my mum might get to be a grandma yet!

Anyway, we've had a 'problem postie' up this way, incoming and outgoing mail has been disappearing, taking weeks to go anywhere or turning up in ditches and gutters. It was in the local news last week, the 'rogue sub-post office master' had been caught interfering with the mail service which explains all the non-appearing mail of late. The power company has sent paperwork three times so far over the last 6 weeks and I haven't got one yet.

So, jimi's parcel took about three weeks to get there, I was almost ready to give up. They did say that there was a heap of mail that they'd found that hadn't been sent yet, so that must have been one of them.

Angus, if you don't receive anything by the end of this week, let me know as there should be two packages somewhere between me and you. I am probably coming down this weekend for my sister's birthday so I'll bring them with me if you haven't got them in the mail by then.

eta; hi all, insanely busy with teaching rounds, weeks behind in the threads, and missing the conversation muchly. back soonish I hope.

moonlit, that's such a lovely thing that you're doing. Go you!

(Also, it's good to 'see' you, and to visit this thread, too).
