'And on that tragic day, an era came to its inevitable end.' That's all there is.

Fuckers! Where the frilly heck is Buffy!

And in Vic.

Jimi, you too?

It's for me, so unless jimi's moved from SA it's him too.

D'uh, yeah, I did see your post Allan and I did know you were in SA, my only excuse is that anti-biotics are making my brain woolly like a mammoth at the moment, not capable of putting 2 and 2 together.

To every idea a shelf...

I do wonder why they moved it. Was it getting beaten by Merrick and Rosso Unplanned? Because other than that it was only up against news on ABC and 10, and random movies on SBS. Maybe the Buffy repeats were getting good ratings.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Moonlit, if you see this, I've been thinking it's probably better not to ask your friend to try to bring biscuits into the US. They've institutued new rules concerning bioterrorism that basically mean you can't bring food in. I wouldn't want said friend to have any trouble at Customs just because I have the munchies.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

BT, from what I know it is fine to carry packaged food items into the US as long as they are declared at customs. It is mailing them into the US that is currently forbidden.

bt, sj's right, carrying in is no problem, and even sending isn't a problem as long as you're organised enough to have gotten a 'prior notice' code number from US Food & Drug/customs which you can do via the internet. Some instructions are here.

and also when I did some checking after Christmas it turns out that there is a twelve month interim rule which means that stuff sent up until the 12 month anniversary of the new rules (Novemberish I think) this year still has a good chance of getting through with no 'prior notice' code.

Well, ok then. I'll clear a spot in the pantry. Thanks again.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

ah shit! Channel 7 have nothing to fear. They've retained their title as Utter Bastards! I haven't been online since last weekend and so missed the warning. *sigh*

eta: at least they didn't thoroughly insult us by replacing Angel with another reality TV show. According to ebroadcast.com.au, the new show is:

THE L WORD

New and original series depicting the lives of a group of Los Angeles lesbians and their friends. Meet Jenny - an Iowa native, her fiancee Tim - a women's swim coach, their neighbours - partners Bette and Tina, and their friends - Shane, Dana, Alice, and Kit as they make their way through life in West Hollywood. Starring MIA KIRSHNER, JENNIFER BEALS, LAUREL HOLLOMAN, ERIC MABIUS, KATHERINE MOENNIG, ERIN DANIELS, LEISHA HAILEY, PAM GRIER and KARINA LOMBARD.
