Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Yeah, to some extent. A lot of people are ungooglable.

Neologism alert! [fires off fax to erinaceous]

Hey Jim - what're you listening to this week? I told you I was writing about The Auteurs for the new book, right?

Franz Ferdinand. If they haven't crossed the pond yet, they're awesome - imagine all those 1981 Glasgow bands like Orange Juice and Josepf K and (yeah) the Fire Engines, with a lot of Wire-y Art-punk, lashed together with Jarvis Cocker's way with a classic song. And they're in the fucking top 5! Angular, dancey, arty - they're the best new guitar band I've heard in about 5 years.

t Waves at Jim, whom I haven't 'seen' in a really long while, ignoring my embarrassing lack of understanding too much of his post How are you?

(belated) Congratulations! Yay you!

IIRC, your girlfriend used to work for a museum (but not The British Museum anymore), right?

She's as near as it gets to being a Watcher.

Now I'm going to imagine her as that blond Watcher who has written her dissertation on Spike in "Checkpoint", or at least with a similar accent.
