Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Happy New Year to you, moonlit ... and everyone else!

I wouldn't hold my breath about the Firefly DVDs getting released in Australia anytime soon. After posting about Northern Exposure I did some searching and discovered the Region 2 version was released back in May 2001. I'm hoping it won't take that long for Firefly's release but I imagine it won't arrive until the near the end of this year at the earliest.

cereal:

Just checked around and MichaelDVD.com.au has a very extensive coming soon page. Thus, I can tell you that according to them, Angel 4 and Buffy 7 are tentatively slated for release in April 2004. There's also a shitload of other shows and movies with confirmed, rumoured or tentative dates. Check it out here:

eta: but not mention of Firefly. Which is disheartening, considering the list goes right through to the end of the year. :(

Thanks for the link jimi, even if it's not looking good for Firefly.

Any definitive word yet on if/when they might turn up on TV?

Hope your silly season went well and work is still treating you OK.

Oh, and Angus might be interested in this one from jimi's link Dr. Who - The Two Doctors - Jan 7

Any Aussies who are interested in a copy of Firefly, let me know. An Ebayer I've bought from in the past and so whom I trust, can get me a R1 copy for $60 + $4 for Express post and she can get more. Now, it's possible that when/if it is finally released in R4 it will be cheaper but I reckon it will be more expensive. Also, you may be able to find it cheaper online but this is nice and easy, so I'm ordering a copy from her. :)

David just sent a bunch of new colour pics for Ehrensteinland ... including a terrific pic of Seth Green. It was taken at the recent "Outfest" premiere of Party Monster, which stars Macauley Culkin.

It'll take a few days for me to get it posted online but once it's up, I'll let you all know. :)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I don't know if this has been posted here already, but season one of Manchild with ASH is availible now in the UK. I am hoping that it will eventually be released in the US so I don't have to buy a region free DVD player.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I do like the sound of Party Monster exceedingly, from what I've heard so far. Ahem. Predictably.

Seth is amazing. And utterly lovable in drag (or bizarre club kid troll doll outfit). My fav though was watching him dance to Stacey Q's "Two of Hearts."

The movie itself isn't great, but Mr. Culkin acquitted himself as a prettyboy homicidal sociopath.

And, really, what more could one ask for? Other than Seth Green in drag, but that would be asking too much, I supp...hey, wait!

Really should go see this movie. Suspect, however, that it won't be big in Cairo.
