Zoe: First rule of battle, little one. Don't ever let 'em know where you are. Mal: Whoo-hoo! I'm right here! I'm right here! You want some of me? Yeah, you do! Come on! Come on! Aaah! Whoo-hoo! Zoe: Of course, there are other schools of thought...

do you have extra-spiffy system-converting VCRs which can make NTSC dubs?

Well I have two VCRs, which can both play PAL and NTSC -- the one in the living room can do SECAM as well, if I ever want to watch French videos -- so I'm assuming I can do it.

I don't think Thuy would do that, funny as it is.

She did specifically instruct me the other day, next time I bought tuna, to make sure it was "Junkie Tuna" ...

I have pictured that, her holding the bag of chocolates with a "What the hell am I supposed to do with THIS? Crazy Australians."

Hi, Fiona! How's Benno?

Don't get your hopes up, John. If they're PAL systems, which they probably are (they can just play NTSC), you cannot copy NTSC tapes on them.

Hi, Fiona! How's Benno?

Hayden! We're good. B. is going through a very cute phase again. The only problem is that his sleep patterns are a bit random at the moment. Mostly he's waking up early (way too early, if you ask me - between 5 and 6am). Then yesterday he slept through until 8:30. Go figure. Anyway, I'm a wee bit tired these days.

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Fiona - we have the latest batch of tapes - arrived this morning. I'll try and watch them this weekend...

Fiona - Nov 27, 2002 4:03:14 am PST #632 of 9843

Wow, I'm impressed. That means I won't have to wait long for the next fix after my appetite's been whetted. (Of course, as luck would have it (not), next week is exceptionally busy for me so I probably won't actually have time to watch the tapes, but hey, at least I'll have them.)

I'll put both lots together before sending them on to Oz, if that's OK. I hope we can still beat the Christmas rush.

That seems sensible, doesn't it?

You're my hero, Fiona. Email me about arrangements.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

OK, so I watched 3.5 more Buffys. Spoilers follow:

The Anya episode Rules! Olaf! Pimp-D'Hoffyrn! "Becoming" references!

The First Evil is a bit of a one-trick pony, huh?

No other candidate is asking the hard questions, like "Did geophysicists assassinate Jim Henson?" or "Why is there hydrogen in America's water supply?" --defective yeti

That seems overly tempting for this thread. But I have the episode on tape right here in my living room, so I don't have to resist for long.
