Saffron: But we've been wed. Aren't we to become one flesh? Mal: Well, no, uh... We're still two fleshes here, and I think that your flesh ought to sleep somewhere else.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Fay - I really expect it is more what ......said.

Gar, what she said had nothing to do with the Jay and Silent Bob movie.

My post responded to the comments about the Kevin Smith movie and the assertion that Eliza requested that the sexual orientation of her character in the movie be altered. That's what I was talking about. Not about nipples or lack thereof in any episode of Buffy. I'm sorry that I didn't express myself clearly enough. I remain surprised and disappointed that Eliza would object to playing a dyke.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

It's not tragic, really.

I gotta say, my first encounter with the slidey factor was something of a shock.

It's a remora, dimwit.

Well, I think it ended up being a good choice to have her character be straight, else the movie carried a message of gay girls are bad, but can be redeemed through the love of a man which is highly offensive. So I fanwank that that's the reason Dushku wanted the change.

And if they had to have a bra in that scene, why not let Wood wear it? It'd add some quick depth to the character, and it's not like they were currently worried about being canceled.

The nipple thing in general amuses me.

It's like the magical essence of nakedness. You can flash top, bottom and side of breast but you're still presentable if the pigment all matches and nothing contracts.

It's like the boob's power center.

True dat. I think that's why Barbie doesn't have nipples. That way, she's never completely naked, and so not too porny for children.

If I only had a brain...

Yup. A woman isn't officially naked until you can see her nipple and pubic hair. Everything else is nude.

I'd wager a quarter that slideage has never been captured on film.

(I think that's why it was such a shock. Where'd they GO?!)

OK, I have to ask. What the heck are you talking about? The word "slideage" keeps bringing up pictures in my mind of two people trying to get together, and sliding around on a bed and falling off!
