So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Can someone define Fanon? Is it like canon, only....?

The Brat Queen does here.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

That site seems to treat fanon as things common in fanfic that are contradicted by the show, while I've always thought of it as at least as much things that are never stated one way or the other on a show, but show up in fanfic by a variety of authors. For instance, I'd call it fanon that William the Bloody Awful Poet was heir to a baronetcy, since I've seen it in multiple fanfics. Of course, I don't think he was born anywhere near so high--I'm thinking father made money in trade and had social ambitions for his children, but that's another debate.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Or Spike/Angelus sex is such strong fanon as to approach canon.

`He combed his hair, Put on a shirt that his mother made, And he went on the air...'

Thanks for that link, PMM. I was going to say `thankyou ma'am' but then realised I didn't know whether you were one and didn't want to put my foot in it. It's interesting coming into this board only very recently that some of you seem to know each other really well. Being new, you pick up little clues about others....but sometimes it's hard to remember them, and if the name doesn't obviously say male or female, even that can be a mystery.

But then, you can be anyone on the internet. I could be an 18-month-old pomeranian pup.

No other candidate is asking the hard questions, like "Did geophysicists assassinate Jim Henson?" or "Why is there hydrogen in America's water supply?" --defective yeti

I admire the obsessiveness of

Canon: Willow "tastes like strawberries" (Wrecked, Two to Go)

Unclear Canon: If that's just to another magic user or if she tastes like strawberries in general.

But they ought to update

100% Fanon: Willow using an exclamation like "Goddess!" - she doesn't.

She says it in "Dirty Girls."

TBQ is aware that the Goddess section needs updating, much as it makes her roll her pretty little eyes.

(Me, of course, it just makes giggle.)

(Also, I'm female. Though, of course, clubbing TBQ over the head, dragging her off to my cave, and marrying her, but that's a discussion going on elsewhere.)

I know trivia like billytea's brothers' nicknames and where PMM went to college, but I think you learn more about who they are just by reading their posts every day than you would know if Hecubus handed you all the checklists he pretends to keep about everyone's embarrassing kinks.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Pretends? No way. I'm quite sure he has thick leather dossiers on each of us.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Pretends? No way. I'm quite sure he has thick leather dossiers on each of us.

Sure, but will he show any of us?

For instance, I'd call it fanon that William the Bloody Awful Poet was heir to a baronetcy, since I've seen it in multiple fanfics.

FWIW, I don't remember seeing this. At least not enough to have caught my notice.

But then, you can be anyone on the internet. I could be an 18-month-old pomeranian pup.

In which case, let me be the first to complement you on your typing.
