Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

Oh, good...I just expect snorting these days at anything even mildly sentimental.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Though I may be in the minority on that.

Minority maybe, but not alone.

Ha! Good call, Ple.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Well, it's not that I don't feel sorry for the virgin and horrified by her sacrifice and all. But yeah, in retrospect? Totally worth it.

If I only had a brain...

NZ gave us the Mighty Phil, host of The Amazing Race, for whom I will be forever grateful. His eyebrows are almost as expressive as ASH's.

It's a remora, dimwit.

I think the little bit of derision came from the idea that the girl might be a misdirect, and Connor would choose to sacrifice himself for his child, giving his life the way his mother did. He wasn't exactly a virgin, but it seemed that they moreso needed someone who was of the lighter side of morality. And that's how vegemite gave birth to the modern metric system.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

NZ gave us the Mighty Phil,

Mmmm... Phil....

`He combed his hair, Put on a shirt that his mother made, And he went on the air...'

Russell Crowe -- New Zealander.

Just saw Dirty Girls last night. And all I can say is ``Phew!!'' (wipes sweat off brow in a non-taunting-of-Australians-way)

(edited to spell rite)

Notice, too, how after Portrait of a Lady we kind of decided to give Jane Campion back to you.

`He combed his hair, Put on a shirt that his mother made, And he went on the air...'

Portrait of a Lady I didn't see. The real Jane Campion abomination was Holy Smoke. I had high hopes when the soundtrack opened with Neil Diamond singing Holly Holy. But it was all downhill from there.
