"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Okay, Jars, you win on the obsessiveness. Though the phone number thing is SCARY. But I'm still not giving him up.

I bop to Wittgenstein. -- Nutty

I forgot Liam Neeson.

So did I! (Flog me, too!)

Micheal Palin

Oh, yes. Also, if I may be permitted to include non-living Brits, Graham Chapman.

I hope they repeat Gormenghast soon. Cos, y'know - hot.

Yeah. And had Spike Milligan in. (Okay! So I have a thing for dead funny guys! With blue eyes! It's the blue eyes, I tell you.)

I have to admit that because I knew the books, I was more than a little disturbed by how attractive I found Steerpike. Rhys-Meyers did a wonderful job, but-- disturbing, kinda.

thinks

That's praise. Disturbing is how Gormenghast *should* be.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

As long as we're not time-restricted and Deb's claiming prime Richard Burton, I'd like to lay claim to Richard Harris and Robert Shaw. And Julian Sand.

Wouldn't you like have closed a pub 30 years ago with Burton, Harris and O'Toole?

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Hell no. I'd have got naked.

And sold tickets.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I probably wouldn't have come close to keeping up with them, but this does sound like fun.

Oh, the wild-eyed Irish and Welsh songs, the jokes. Finney, anyone?

Deb, you mentioned Courtenay. Did you ever see The Dresser? That film just--oof. Sucker-punched me.

Omigod, Finney, Tom Jones-era (slaver drool whimper).

I loved The Dresser. And speaking of Courtenay, must also mention Laurence Harvey, to die for, and gone too soon. Anyone else have a deep-seated passion for A Dandy in Aspic?

I've been told that the orginal cocaine based coke had such a mild dose of cocaine that you actually get a better buzz off the caffeine in modern coke.

Ah, and according to snopes, I've been told correctly

Laurence Harvey, to die for,

Oooh! Tamiko! Harvey and France Nuyen. It's been yonks since I saw it, so it's probably hideously un-PC now, but I cried buckets years ago when I was young and tenderhearted.

ETA: And look at that--technicolor! The print I saw was black and white.

Except that I'm not quite right. The coca-cola of 1902 was already not the "original" coke:

When it was origally dispensed in 1885 there was a signficant amount - 9 milligrams and caffeine besides, and people usually took 3 glasses.

But reading further I'm not sure to put it mildly that this is a reliable source. At any rate I don't think it is worth further effort or posts.

t on furthe edit - on my part. I'm not suggesting what anyone else should post or put effort into.
