Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Angus ... I think it's a cheese and mustard flavoured crisp. It may be ham instead of cheese but is definitely mustard b/c its done in conjunction with Keens. Doesn't appeal to me but I'm sure there will be some who find it delicious.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

now I want to make a list of British/Irish actors who would fall into the latter category...

You're talking to the World's Original Daniel Day-Lewis Ho. I fell in lust in the early eighties, when I saw "The Bounty."

The young Peter O'Toole. Hell, the old Peter O'Toole. The young Tom Courtenay. Ewan MacGregor. Richard Burton in his glorious best-voice-ever prime (Willow, you're needed). Did I say Daniel Day-Lewis? Oh look, I did. Give the man either his "Age of Innocence" suits, or his "Last of the Mohicans" loincloth. I'm so very much there.

Ah yes, jimi.

I'm surprised you didn't point out that in Adelaide, milk bars are called delis, just to confuse things further!

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

The thing is that havers is so inextricably linked with the nadir of '80s naffness that he's irredeemable.

Actually, that's not fair - the nadir of '80s naffness was the Gold Blend ads, and I guess ASH has managed to get away from that stigma. havers is still unwatchable, though. He's so smug. and he ruined the Gorse trilogy.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Anthony Andrews' best role was as the officer in the 70s series, Danger UXB. He played the bomb disposal loon during the blitz in WWII.

I've never used the term "milk bar", to me it has always been a "deli" and they aren't at risk of extinction in South Australia.

Hah! I was just getting round to it.

Jim, I think we may need to call for reinforcements...

Surely Sarah can be relied on to be a Havers-hater?

Damn, that was a good show. He really was superb in that.

Oh, Blimey yeah. I think we can guarantee that.

I had the danger UXB game on my Spectrum. It consisted of ever-more-complex arrangements of wires, and you had to guess, at random, which to cut. Fucking boring game...

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Here is where I stake my claim to Sean Bean, as I do on every available opportunity....
