Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Just noticed the OMWF DVD was released in the UK last Monday.

Which seems kinda sleazy, considering the Season 6 Box set is released on May 14th.

In a bizarre attempt at cross-promotion, Blackstar claims the OMWF has an interview with Jessica Alba.

Is Roush the big AtS fan?

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Actually, whoever the TV columnists at Entertainment Weekly were also loved Buffy; many, many cover stories on Buffy graced that magazine over the years.

I. Want. My. H:LOTS. DVDs.

If I only had a brain...

You fiendish UnAmericans! (runs off to Amazon.co.uk)

Is it still conventional that all DVD players bought in the UK, Australia, and Europe have been hacked to kill region codes? Or did I hallucinate that?

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Not all but a lot of DVD players have the means to circumvent the region coding. Usually it's by means of a "secret" code you have to input using the remote control. The players that don't have this ability, are usually the more expensive and/or big-name brands.

A lot of the players available in the US can also have their region coding changed. The trick is having a player that can specify a region, thus ensuring RCE is also overcome.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

FTR ... I have DVDs from Australia, America and the UK and they all play perfectly.

Oh, I have a hacked DVD player. I'm just curious if it's de rigueur outside the American region. I had heard that everyplace except America, nobody is willing to buy DVD players that aren't region-hacked.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Aussistas, can I get confirmation on something? Weebl and Bob is featuring a packet of pie-flavoured Smith's Crisps on the front page. Is this the genuine article? Are actual pie-flavoured chips now available in Oz?

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

(A scorecard for this thread, by request. Enjoy.)

Not in my little corner of the 'pode, billytea.

But rest assured, should it happen, you'll be the first to know.

In other (Weebl and Bob flavoured) news- they've been featuring on JJJ o' late. See how far up in the world they've come? :)

Edited to add... (off of Gus' scorecard o' doom)

It takes four of me to make one Angus. That sounds about right.
