"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And how about the season so far, Hec? (And others) How's it shaping up?

I'd concur with Betsy and ita. No weak links so far. It's been exceptionally well written this year. New!Drew (one of the new writers) has got a raving fanclub already. It's bothering some folks, but I love the fact that they're revisting so much of their history, but with twists and angles and very funny jokes.

Angel too.

Up and down but pretty good. Opener had many "Whoa!" moments, and the last episode - written and directed by Joss - was very, very funny. They seem to be repairing some of the things that went off last year. Both shows are gearing up for major arcs - and my spoilage is such that I'm very excited about where they're going.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I think I can forgive Angel anything, as long as there's lots of Connor-y goodness.

You'll be fine.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

You should feel happy and loved by His Jossness this year on both shows.

I bop to Wittgenstein. -- Nutty

Stop! Stop! I can't wait for them as it is, without you telling us that they're wonderful!

I don't know why I'm excited- I have several bits of fic that are going to be throughly Jossed. Are Jossed. Whatever.

Yeah, now I can't wait either. Jim! Where are those tapes?!

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Not at my bloody house, that's bloody where! Don't blame me - blame whatever bastard privatised Royal Mail - a standard parcel is now expected to take up to 10 days to go anywhere!

Ooops - it's OK, it wasn't an accusation, just a question. (You're keen to see them too, huh?!) Maybe this weekend then, with a bit of luck, and the weekend after that for me.

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Sorry - there should have been a smiley face. I'm getting V annoyed, as everything takes weeks to arrive.

Fiona - Nov 13, 2002 4:36:36 am PST #368 of 9843

Ah! So that's why parcels from my parents have been taking much longer to get here!

Yeah, it is a pain. Think you could send the tapes to me as a letter, or would that be prohibitively expensive?

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Actually, no - I think the best bet is to avoid Royal mail - it'll be no more expensive to DHL it or whatever - and it might get there in time!
