Yes, once a site is established it is automatically detected by the web crawler robot, but to establish a new site, or home page on Google you have to wait until people start linking. Which makes establishing the site more difficult due to lack of feedback on design and content.
Meaning acknowledgement can work 2 ways and web design is a full-time job.

Rarely - when I'm up to date with eps. I don't BT, so that relies on a (very reliable) tape fairy. Fiona's tape fairy is incredibly unreliable , but has, i can confirm ACTUALLY POSTED IN THE POST OFFICE WITH STAMPS AND EVERYTHING 5 tapes this lunchtime. Promise.

Jon sends me tapes. He's really good, and does it really promptly. I then leave them in my desk drawer for bloody ages until I have an envelope, stamps, Fiona's address. Then I forget for a bit longer. But I have, today SENT THE BUGGERS ORF! So I'm feeling chuffed.
