You new, or am I just -- as usual -- way out of the loop?
Well sorta yes. And sorta not. I'm old. But way more lurker than talker. (And lately, mostly just plain missing.)
Leaves me in an odd position though, because I'm all caught up on you guys (or you know, recently read up) and to you I'm just another weird Melburnian passing by.
Also, I'm all caught up on Buffy (and almost on Angel, and entirely on West Wing) so I end up not talking about the shows here because I don't want to spoil the non-NAFDA types. Heck, throw is some Standard Grade German a few sentences of something almost but not entirely unlike French and suddenly everyone goes all shy.
I read Asterix in French in high school. The bookstore on campus here has a ton of Asterix books in English.
Gerard Depardieu plays Obelix.
I must see this.

colour me unsurprised that I'm now ear-wormed by the theme from
The Good Life.
Hey Jimi, I was getting a little worried that we hadn't seen 'much' of you since you were sprung performing your impromptu strip-tease over on WX.
some would say they'd seen more than enough
