I would be there right now.

Min, ita, I'm so sorry.

Is that Narrative Causality or Historical Imperative or just plain weird?

{{{All of you}}} back. I'm really doing much better today, it was the uncertainty that was freaking me out, and then that semi-hysterical relief just to know, either way.

Now I'm mostly just tired, and want to hide from the world for a while. I've known Michael and his family for, well, forever, so I became the touchstone for our group of friends during the last few days. For phone/communication hating me, that alone was exhausting. And then Trin's people ringing as well, people-that-i-don't-know-horror. But I had a good nap yesterday afternoon, and I'm aiming to skip my classes today in favour of sleep and relaxing. Even though I have overdue assignments and Too Much Work, but screw it.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Hang in there, Min. Get some rest.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

{{{Min}}} Take care of yourself, too. I am so sorry, but I will be hoping for a complete recovery for both of them.

{{{ita}}} I'm sorry.

More Australian news.. in Melbourne today, at my alma mater Monash University, someone started shooting people. It happened about 3 hours ago, and the shooter has been apprehended.
It is a week or so until exams start, I wonder if it was a student? News report here.

The shooting happened on the sixth floor of the Robert Menzies building, which is home to the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

Wow. Actually the whole thing is just so .. I mean, this is Melbourne. We don't do those kinds of things!!!!!

I'm standing firmly on the "the whole world has gone crazeeeeee" side of the fence.

(Briefly. Then I'm going to my meeting d' pain. Otherwise known as Staffing and Rosters. urgh.)

That saddens me immensely. I think of those things as things that only happen in the US.
