It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

Supply and demand...

It's all the sacrifices people make these days. Very decadent.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Just saw "Same Time, Same Place." Oh my god. That was so gross.

Off to read through Buffy 1 now...

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The Anya summary for that one was very funny!

Yes it is (the Anyas are the first thing I read now after I see the show!).

Willow: I'm all alone.
Buffy's Couch: You have me.

*****

Entire World: EEEEEEEW!
Baby Jesus: Wah!

That was so gross.

It was. It really was.

Neat kind of spell, though. If you could do it on purpose...

Cereal:

Buffy: That made no sense.
Spike: And I'm proud.
Joss Whedon: You may now join my writing staff.

Yeah. (Also, plot bunny... groan... )

Does anyone else with BBC find Manchild hugely disturbing? It's like, the 'Giles in England' show, or something. Yech.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I quite like it, myself. It is difficult to take ASH's character too seriously, and it's hardly great television, but it passes the time pleasantly enough.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I watched it, but found it doesn't really bear looking at in repeats. And ASH's character reads differently enough from Giles that I find I have to work at imagining our Watcher standing there half naked.

Though, it occured to me if I were vidding Giles, I'd totally sneak in Manchild images.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.
