Did you see that item in the Angel/Spike tv guide?
Remember when TNT was showing the L&O/H:LotS x-overs? Apparently, the H:LotS beat L&O for ratings. I hope this means either that Court TV will start showing them again -- or that they will give up their rights to them.
No shit.Where are you, Brenda Tartikoff?(Sadly, probably writing a show about talking pigs right now. Gal's gotta eat.Or on 7th Heaven going' I can do anything for 27 weeks'...me and my big mouth." And that is so a title of something...too bad I'm toiling in obscurity here.)And, yeah, I saw that...TVG sounded so frickin' stunned, and I was like Well, Duh, devoted following...not counting the nutcases.)
And alas, Munchkin has been rendered a shadow of his former self on SVU...I smell a conspiracy.
(strokes DVDs of H:LOTS lovingly)
But would you kill somebody over them? And I watched an old " Blue" yesterday on Court(which seems to have the same symbiosis with "Blue" that TNT has with L&O) and I swear I never noticed Diane to be a twitch before...she's kind of a nutter, really. But I think we're supposed to find her touching and vulnerable. I used to. Now I think she's a *crazy* secretary with a gun.
Detective Russell? Wasn't her name Diane?(Another show that gives its all for the womenfolk, obviously.)
Okay! Yes -- she was a mess before death of Bobby Simone but we're supposed to cut her slack for being a widow.
Yup. Diane Russell. She was an alcoholic when she first got there, then was dry, and always twitchy. I missed that meeting. Then again, I never thought NYPD Blue compared with H:LOTS. I'll take FranknTim over Sipowicz any day.
I love the Sipowicz...I do. But he got all the characterization, well at least till his life became a country song and he lost wife, partner, dog, whateverthe fuck. FrankNTim are a double act.(And I see KayNMunch the same way, obviously...well, not exactly) No disrespect to the other partners. And this is fic... not Erika takes apart PDTV, so maybe I should shut up.But Ms.G is right. Diane was always mental...it just drives me crazy now. I think I'm spoiled.
I love that Kay is a human being, a real live woman, and that she has a personality rather than "quirks". She's from a particular part of the world, there's a particular gestalt in that part of the world, she's prickly and easily put on the defensive; they didn't feel is necessary to base her entire reality on "oh, let's make her a recovering AA type, and hey! an abusive father! Yeah, that'll be great!"
Feh feh feh.
