She had the perfect streak but - ok, let's see if my brain has this right, or close to right. When someone died - might have Bolander - the cases were parceled out and she got a cold one and she and Frank went head to head because there was no way she was leaving it sitting there under her name, unsolved....

That could get ugly...seeing how stubborn they both are.(Or I should say, I bet it did.)
Wow. And you don't even know who Kay is, right?(I think you should do something about this, too, btw.)
I promise, I will do something about it, someday. Maybe even this year someday.
Kay's ... Kay's just the sort of woman you'd think she is from reading what Erika wrote. You'd love the show, I bet.
Erika! I was checking out a HLOTS site t find something for SA and the episode in which Kay goes mano with Frank over case clearances? "Gone for Goode."
Big Man didn't die. It was Coscetti who died, Meldrick's partner. This was before Beau got fired, right?
Yup - Crosetti died. Bolander got shot in the where Beau and Kay got shot, but he didn't die.
I have to confess, I stopped watching regularly when they dropped Melissa.
They let her go and replaced her with some Barbie lookalike on Young Riders, and then they cut her loose from H:LotS because she wasn't "sexy enough"? I loved the Frank and Tim show, and the Munch and Meldrick show, but Kay was a really big reason why I watched. And it pissed me off they dumped her.
Oh yes. I was a big fan of Kay, although I also quite liked Isabella Hoffman's character, as a creation - the one thing that department had been lacking was a genuine urbanite well-travelled sophisticate.
They drew me all the way back in with Luther Mahoney.
Brava!
