On my seventh birthday, I wanted a toy fire truck, and I didn't get it, and you were real nice about it, and then the house next door burnt down, and then real firetrucks came, and for years I thought you set the fire for me. And if you did, you can tell me!

I'm impossible at anything other than mechanical, I think. I don't know canon for any of them and I try not to screw with the writer's style (despite my earlier remarks). Tell me there was an alien invasion in season 1 and I'll go, "hmm, I must have missed that ep."

I'm sorry about the gruesomeness of the day. Mine has been a nothing day, but it's improving, despite the lateness of the hour.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Kewl. Then I have Done A Good Thing, Plei, and will hope that you ping me, should further betas arise.

I have two cats in my lap. This is not completely off-topic; the incredibly sweet tabby boy is called Rupert and his coal-black sister, who currently is standing on my thighs and is sucking on my face, is called Darth Willow.

Deena, improving? Never a bad deal.

And here comes kitty number three, sister of first two, little Tonkinese clone with blue eyes called (of course) Buffy.

It's nice to be loved by kitty cats. I like dogs more, because you can pretty much guarantee they'll love you. Cats are more independent, and I'm all about the easy lovin'.

Thanks for all the fish.

My cat Lenny loves me so damn much. It's wonderful. In fact, it's better than the slut-love of a dog.

Me and dogs, not so much. Allergic for one thing, but also - I missed the easy love gestalt entirely. Give me a chance to earn it.

We have many many many cats. At the moment (thanks heavens for a roomy old Vic house), we have thirteen of them; an even dozen are rescues. And Drusilla is atop the monitor, staring at me suspiciously. She's well-named. Burning fishes!

Among the Buffistae, who knows our cats? Betsy, Andrea L, Dana, ita, Penny B, Hec, juliana, meara....

Deb, just popping in to say I took Plainsong with me to a lovely bath and I'm about halfway through it (also wrinkled like a prune). I love the language. My favorite phrase, so far: "all compact of time..."

I'm so glad you started posting here.

Thanks for all the fish.

So I'm going through WX and what do I find?

I'm wanting so much to write SpikePorn, or even a goofy Spike drains Spiderman and gets his Spidey powers fic. But I started the Spike/Spiderman one, and it wants to become something else totally. No, not slash! Sort of angst-y, post-The Gift, which is somthing I swore I would never do. But that's what it wants to be. Hopefully I'll have lots of time to write this weekend

Uh, Teppy? Where is this? Because we need this.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

they all had this particular music and I wish to hell I could hum online, because you'd know exactly which ones I was talking about....

Raymond Scott, Powerhouse.

Don't let the Deena out with the bathwater, sweetie.

amych, you rock. Speaking of which, I snuck off to watch all my favourite punk geezers get inducted into the Hall of Fame. SO much more fun than those shitty Grammy awards.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one out there who knew there was a Clash album between "London Calling" and "Cmbat Rock", damnit. "Sandinista" was my favourite.

Sniff. Missing 1978-1981, anti-National Front rallies in London....
