Giles: I'm sure we're all perfectly safe. Dawn: We're safe. Right. And Spike built a robot Buffy to play checkers with. Tara: It sounded convincing when I thought it.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

they all had this particular music and I wish to hell I could hum online, because you'd know exactly which ones I was talking about....

Raymond Scott, Powerhouse.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Don't let the Deena out with the bathwater, sweetie.

amych, you rock. Speaking of which, I snuck off to watch all my favourite punk geezers get inducted into the Hall of Fame. SO much more fun than those shitty Grammy awards.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one out there who knew there was a Clash album between "London Calling" and "Cmbat Rock", damnit. "Sandinista" was my favourite.

Sniff. Missing 1978-1981, anti-National Front rallies in London....

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm wanting so much to write SpikePorn, or even a goofy Spike drains Spiderman and gets his Spidey powers fic. But I started the Spike/Spiderman one, and it wants to become something else totally. No, not slash! Sort of angst-y, post-The Gift, which is somthing I swore I would never do. But that's what it wants to be. Hopefully I'll have lots of time to write this weekend

Uh, Teppy? Where is this? Because we need this.

Elena, love -- SpikeFic, post-The Gift? I wrote it. You read it. Hell, you beta-ed it.

Also, Am-Chau -- I got your feedback on Spike/Giles. Thanks!

You're very welcome, Steph. A piece of Spike/Giles is a joy, and one I hadn't read before, even better. And, I have to say, increasingly rare.

Plus, yours is very good. I feel the need to say it publically as well as in feedback e-mail.

Spike/Giles within canon is hard, because Giles HATES Spike, holds him in utter contempt. Plus they're both alpha dogs, and it was impossible to envision them in a situation of slashy goodness.

But "Something Blue" seemed ready-made for S/G fic. I mean, really. Spike. in. CHAINS.

Spike. in. CHAINS.

Yeah.

Ahem. I'll store that image for the bunk.

Ready-made for Spike/any Scooby, to quite an extent. And one day someone must take up the Spike/BBoC principle and write Spike/bathtub.

Dana, that's a honey. Only complaint with it is that bit about "drawing out the 's' at the end of his name." Buffy the gollum?

Note to self: try to be clear in the mornings.

That's not one I wrote, btw. That's victoria p., and it reminded me of a conversation people were having upthread, which is why I posted the link here. (Trying to be cryptic about the story's content, since the headers don't reveal it.)
