Is normalcy actually archaic, or was it never picked up in common use? As I said, it's a recent word. Normality pre-dates it, IIRC.

I use nonUSian spellings for certain words, it's been srewing with my typing, I don't even notice it and I'm not sure how I picked it up but the spelling just seems natural to me.
