We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Well, on this thread, we toss around the term "porn" pretty broadly -- some of the hottest, most erotic things I've read (from the Bitchficcers here) haven't been porn in its grittiest, most common sense of the term, but have actually been understated.

Don't let our love of porn fool you. It's not all the literary equivalent of pizza-delivery-guy and the boom visible in the shot.

t edit x-posty with Plei. Not surprising.

When I wrote the big long fic that had some Spike/Willow, I think the sex bits were understated.

You sip / say it's your crazy / straw say it's you're crazy / as you bicycle your soul / with beauty in your basket

I suspect my crapitude at porn is because I want to go for the elegant and understated. Which works ok for the real-world fiction I get (occasionally) paid to write, but for porn? I think not so much with the elegant understatement.

Wrod.

This is about the most successfully porny I've written. There's really only so far you can go (when you're not as talented as the lovely mme. Marcontell).

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Oh, I'm not dissing erotica - I can write passable erotica.

but I love love love LOVE good old-fashioned thigh-quivering porn, and no matter how hard I try, it always comes out understated. Feh. I want throbbing members! Nipples! I want a long loving description of a woody, damnit!

One of the reasons I'm lurving Angelus' diaglogue the last two episodes is that the writers are walking the fine line between violent porn and pure erotica. A lot being suggested, and the occasional graphic bit all the more effective when it hits.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Ple and I write porny porn. It's fun, if frustrating.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Nah, I don't write porny-porny porn.

Precious little of my stuff falls under porny porny porn. I eschew overt descriptions, because I have little use or liking for them. They get too clinical for my tastes.

(Been reading some, and it remains somewhat... dull for me. Because I know what cocks look like all hard and purpled with blood. They look silly. They make me giggle.)

Exactly. Good porn is the stuff that doesn't make me giggle and doesn't make me yawn, either. It's incredibly tricky.....

Really? How odd. It works for me.

But, not so important.

But no matter how I try and get in, it gives me a 404.
