Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I watched "5 x 5" last night for fic purposes, and 4 things struck me:

(1) I *so* miss old Cordy. She seems like a totally different character.
(2) Wesley seems in some ways like a different character, but in other ways, it's so easy to trace how he got from there to here, story timeline-wise.
(3) I miss Lindsey.
(4) Watching Faith closely, she and Fred aren't that dissimilar. I don't necesarily mean physically, although that's there -- I mean if circumstances were a little different, Fred could be Faith-y. Not the Slayer, of course, but in all other personality/attitudinal aspects. Fred's got the crazy. We've seen her get all don't-fuck-with-the-twig. If it were taken all the way, Fred could be VERY Faith-y.

Damn. Semi-gen Wes plot bunny now.

Damn.

Sorry. But I'm in research mode. I'm still going to write that fic I talked about in Bitches a week or so ago.

Oh, I think I can tie it in with a beginning I had the other day, plus the shower fic I promised someone ages ago.

Art Crawl!!!

Yeah, Cordy has changed so much -- I want her to be snarky again.

You sip / say it's your crazy / straw say it's you're crazy / as you bicycle your soul / with beauty in your basket

Art Crawl!!!

Hmmm, do you think that Fred enjoys the power the way that Faith does?

Or is enjoyment of the destruction what you mean by getting all "Faithy"?

Enjoying power, abusing power, not caring what the consequences of her actions are, being utterly, totally, reckless.

Thanks for all the fish.

Fred absolutely enjoys the power. Did you notice the whole taser thing?

And I'm still *so* angry that Gunn stole her revenge. That's just so damn patronising.

I miss old Cordy, too.
