Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Allyson--Defintely put in that you have a book coming out, because that is of the coolness.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Shrift, 6-7 drinks in 2 hours? Holy carp, woman, you are made of iron!

Froofy drinks do not do much to me. I started out drinking Jack Daniels and moonshine wine. And while I can (and have!) drink 6-7 beers or mixed drinks with hard liquor in 2 hours, I most likely will end up very drunk unless I'm having a Freaky Level of Tolerance day.

shrift, you can tell me what's in your gimlet, I promise not to judge.

I'll admit that I am now drinking a vodka gimlet made with Rose's and not quite a top shelf vodka, because I was feeling poor. It's very tasty, so I promise that next time I will go for Grey Goose or something similar.

I now have lots and lots of food! I wonder what I should make for dinner?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, today's Homicide episode is one of the Law and Order crossovers, and I was just thinking that it doesn't really make logical sense that Briscoe and Curtis would just happen to have two cases that move to Baltimore, but it might make more sense for that to happen with the Major Case squad, but of course, there was no CI back then... and Friday's episode is the subway one, starring Vincent D'Onofrio. It all comes around in the end.

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

I keep wondering what it would be like if they did a L&O episode based on the astronaut thing.

You know they will.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

If it's in the headlines, they will rip it out.

Eta: I have added ginger vodka to my shopping list. Damn, that sounds good.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I thought the Snickers ad was pretty hilarious.

I don't get the issue.

I liked it and was annoyed with it at the same time.

I thought it made fun of homophobia more than anything else. Or, you know, heterosexual panic and overcompensation. Or whatever.

Allyson, GLAAD isn't so much protesting the ad as it aired during the superbowl (I saw it and wasn't offended either) as the different endings that were (briefly) on the website, which included the men reacting to their Lady and the Tramp-style kiss with violence against each other, or a cut to sports fans viewing and expressing their disgust in insulting fashion. The story's detailed a bit more here: [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ginger vodka. Interesting.

I am still thinking about the pear vodka, but I think I have three bottles of vodka already, two of which are opened but kinda full.

More home gimlets is the solution, I guess. Time to make simple syrup.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

or a cut to sports fans viewing and expressing their disgust in insulting fashion.

Sports fans? Members of the Bears and Colts, appallingly enough.
