"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I feel like my work-based sanity is on death row.

I've managed to survive for years without external IM services at work! I mean, I can e-mail, and that's like having one good kidney, right?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Forgot to set my alarm last night. I woke up instantly alert and well-rested, thought "UH OH!" and turned to see that it was 2 hours past my normal wake-up time.

Now despite the extra sleep I'm beginning to notice light sensitivity. If this develops into a migraine today is officially going to suck for me.

Meanwhile back at the Batserver.

Batmail: "Attachment, Commisioner Sendmail says that The Spammer and Phishwoman have taken over the Gotham server."

Attachment: "Holy discount Viagra Batmail, how did they get in."

Batmail: "Somebody must have left a relay open. We'll have to shut it down before the whole city is flooded. Quick! To the Batprotocol!"

[Everything goes all spiny]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I woke up instantly alert and well-rested, thought "UH OH!" and turned to see that it was 2 hours past my normal wake-up time.

I have to confess that I kind of love it when that happens. NSM with the migraines.

So, I'm setting up people to interview, and so far it seems I have them in order of least-likely to most-likely, based on their resumes, over the course of next week. This seems like a good plan, right?

Sorry your day isn't going so great Matt. I hope the migrain stays away.

Art Crawl!!!

Isn't it? I love that the teeth look frilly. . . but I suppose that they really aren't.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, poor prehistoric killer sea beastie!

Got woken up by a random recruiter this morning. He'd better find me a job, to repay me for disturbing my painkiller cocktail hangover.

Oh, Matt, I hope your day decides to behave itself. If it doesn't, maybe Gud's superheroes can multitask and take care of it as well?

Holy discount Viagra

Snerk.

This seems like a good plan, right?

It does to my have-no-idea-in-the-subject self. This way, if somebody from the least-likely end surprises you for the better, they'll be on your mind when the rest of the actually-likely get their turn, and get a fair chance, right?

Jessica! I didn't get a chance yet to congratulate you and your DH about the new place! Go you!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

A bunch more pictures of shaved cats (one has a mohawk down its back):
