Tracy: Well-- That call -- That call means you just murdered me. Mal: No, son. You murdered yourself. I just carried the bullet a while.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Gotta be in the archives somewhere.

I have undocumented events in my life!

I was about to ask what I had for breakfast, but, okay, that's in the archives. Or this particular thread. Dinner yesterday, however, was not. So there.

Thank you so much, Lee.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've been feeling icky today. And I have this weird thing where if I inhale all the way I get this pain that shoots down my back. Otherwise there's no pain there at all.

I figure the most logical explanation is there's an alien growing in my chest, and when my lungs fill the alien presses against my spine.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I restarted and gmail problems are gone. The page wasn't even loading for me for some reason.

Are you on dial-up Cash? It gets weird and frozen sometimes when I'm on dial-up.

Good chance, tommy, good chance.

TiVo suggestions question. What should I delete without watching? Which should I let lie around until I get to them, or they get deleted? Which are a definite watch?

  • The Howling
  • The Last Starfighter
  • A Walk in the Clouds
  • The Understanding series on Discovery (Skyscrapers, Universe, Tunnels)

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

"The Last Starfighter" is kind of a geek-cred movie.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

As a fan of The Last Starfighter ever since it was released, definitely watch that one! Robert Preston is just great as the interstellar conman.

I saw "The Last Starfighter" when it came out (a few years after Star Wars, right?) I remember thinking "This is a total Star Wars ripoff." That was before I found out it was a Seven Samurai ripoff.

OK, maybe "ripoff" is too harsh. Now I'm curious if I'd like it if I saw it now.

eta: Or am I confusing TLS with something else?
