"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I got rid of my Commodore 64 and I regretted it! It even had a good home with a geek and was being used to teach BASIC programming. But I was sad!

It's possible you're in the wrong thread for decluttering tech toys. We loves our computer carcasses, yes we do.

But yeah, you should probably recycle it. Are you going to use it? If not, it's just taking up space you could probably use.

Our wings are not tired

I still have my ColecoVision. There are days I regret getting rid of my Apple //GS and the boxes of around 1000 floppy disks that went with it.

Coding and Sleeping

I regret getting rid of my Atari ST. That's history man.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I've decided my Macintosh II box, while historical and all, is not really geeky enough for me. I'm giving it to the electronics recycling crew tomorrow.

Besides, I have some 15-16 Mac Plus form factor units I'm planning to keep using for shelving supports in the basement.

I already have one set of six holding up boards for bankers boxes along one wall.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Mac Plus was the first computer that *I* purchased (step-dad gave me a TI994a, but he kept using it for pinball, so i don't really count that). It was a great machine.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I never wax nostalgic for my Texas Instruments... I forget the number... with the tape drive. I told my mom I wanted a TRS-80 but I guess she figured TRS, TI, what's the difference?

well, the TI 99/4a was $99, and that's why they bought it. The cassette drive took FOREVER to load anything. But it was fun to unplug the connection cable so it "played" the cassette thru the speaker, and drive my step-dad crazy.

I had no step dad, but the dog did that head-tilt thing that's always amusing.

Rats though, if we had the same computer as kids, I can't blame that for my dearth of tech geekery anymore.
