I was reading about the Roku and other options because I'm going to the minimum cable for depressing financial reasons, yet I still want to be able to watch everything I want to from my comfy chair.
It looks like another possibility is the Tivo-Netflix combo, when it gets off the ground. That's supposed to be this month, but I never count my new tech before it's hatched.

Do you have the Consumer Reports ratings, sarameg?
I've been shopping televisions myself, because I use rabbit ears in the office, so that setup disappears in February. I like my little CRT Sharp, but the last thing my office needs is another piece of equipment.
