You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I actually do feel for Apple at the moment. When you have a massive data event, it's impossible to test it effectively, because you'd really need a couple million people logging in at the same time to truly simulate the event. So you make some best guesses by extrapolating the experience and data you have and... then something goes wrong (or somethingS), and then the problem piles up, as people try again and again to log in.

I've lived this long without useful apps, so I may as well try to be patient. FEH

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm looking at other forums, and people's activations are starting to work now, like Sean's.

And with the 2.0, Google Maps is pinpointing my location with GPS accuracy. I guess now there's only the one reason to buy a new one. 3G would be nice, buy I think I can wait.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Speaking of GPS, I'm thinking of buying a handheld unit for the drive up to Canada. Renting one with the car would cost be about $120, so I'd like to spend less than $200 if possible. Any recommendations?

(I do have Google Maps on both the iPod Touch and the Treo - any way of using those instead of buying something new?)

He *still* didn't *share*.

You didn't ask.

Anyway, it's not so much pessimism and prudent realism. Honest.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Yeah, I've decided not to get an iPhone upgrade after playing with the new software.

Really, I don't see the point if you're a first gen owner. Another year will fly by and then who knows what goodies the 3rd gen will have to offer.
