Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
Ginger,
Have you received any messages from me?
I think the first two may have gotten through but all the rest have been bounced back from two different addresses.
I meant to send you the font, bembo (sounds very lotr) but both those messages and subsequent 'did you get it' messages got tossed.
No, I haven't. How odd. I just sent you an e-mail with another address.
Ginger, insent.
Two from onebox (one graphic per)
One from verizion (two versions of the bembo font)
Fingers crossed!
So....
I got this really awesome gift from a really awesome friend of mine, as a thank you for some stuff I did for him -- it's one of the new 8GB iPods that can do video. Verra cool.
However, I do have one question that's probably not all that B'Tech worthy, but I'll ask it here anyway:
WTF is this white plastic tray-thing that came in the box for?
WTF is this white plastic tray-thing that came in the box for?
It's an adapter to make it fit in docking stations that are designed for larger sizes.
Also? AWESOME gift.
Also? AWESOME gift.
Yeah, it really is. And it came on top of some pretty cool stuff I was already getting for the work I've been doing, so I'm feeling pretty good right now -- both appreciated and appreciative.
I need an IDE (hopefully free) for perl on OS X - recommendations?
Also, has anyone done graphics programming on perl? I just need to do simple stuff, like create a graphic file with circles, lines and some text on it....
CamelBones lets you write perl code in Xcode. It's probably overkill for what you're looking for.
For graphics, you will probably want to use the GD module.
