I got this really awesome gift from a really awesome friend of mine, as a thank you for some stuff I did for him -- it's one of the new 8GB iPods that can do video. Verra cool.

Also, has anyone done graphics programming on perl? I just need to do simple stuff, like create a graphic file with circles, lines and some text on it....

CamelBones lets you write perl code in Xcode. It's probably overkill for what you're looking for.
For graphics, you will probably want to use the GD module.

iPhone users: I've been trying to set up GF's Gmail account ever since we got our phones (months ago). Even though I select POP and recent (emails from now on) under Gmail > Settings, all of her email loads onto the phone. V. v. irritating. I've gone to a few forums and tried some stuff that hasn't worked, but thought I'd ask here just in case.
Why she cancelled her .mac account I'll never know. Grumble, grumble...
