So this is the PHP code I have. It currently outputs a list of posts in all categories, sorted alphabetically. What I'm trying to do is remove the parent categories, so I only get the child categories shown on the page. Anyone know how to tweak this?
I know it's all in that one line towards the top, but I can't figure it out.
Edit: Crap, now I have to remember how to post code without it being eaten.
I guess I will do the cheat of parentheses where there would be pointy brackets.
(?php $categories = get_categories("child_of=$category"); foreach ($categories as $cat) { ?)
(div class="genre_subcat")
(?php query_posts("cat=$cat-)cat_ID&showposts=-1&order=ASC&orderby=name"); ?)
Silly question. If you have a MacBook air, and you are a guest where they only have wired connection, no wi-fi, what do you do? It doesn't have ethernet port.
are they any good? I'd think the USB would slow it down a bit.
USB 2.0 is quite a bit faster than even gigabit Ethernet. I also travel with an Airport Express.
yeah, the adapter is slower than Ethernet on a macbook pro, but pretty good.
Is there a mac in the place? You alternatively could plug another mac into the connection and create a wifi network.
I travel (when I go to hotels) with an airport express so that I create my own network in hotel rooms. I find that usually is a bit faster and less annoying than hooking up my devices individually to the wifi (if there is one available in hotels).
Traveling with an Airport Express is GENIUS.
My dad is thinking about buying a Mac, but is saying its close to $2,000. Just getting info so I can talk with knowledge. The outpatient facility he is getting cancer treatment at has Ethernet ports in the rooms, but no wifi.
omnis,
check refurb mac deals. much cheaper than $2K.
