I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I guess I will do the cheat of parentheses where there would be pointy brackets.

Silly question. If you have a MacBook air, and you are a guest where they only have wired connection, no wi-fi, what do you do? It doesn't have ethernet port.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

USB to ethernet adapter?

are they any good? I'd think the USB would slow it down a bit.

Our wings are not tired

USB 2.0 is quite a bit faster than even gigabit Ethernet. I also travel with an Airport Express.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

yeah, the adapter is slower than Ethernet on a macbook pro, but pretty good.

Is there a mac in the place? You alternatively could plug another mac into the connection and create a wifi network.

I travel (when I go to hotels) with an airport express so that I create my own network in hotel rooms. I find that usually is a bit faster and less annoying than hooking up my devices individually to the wifi (if there is one available in hotels).

My dad is thinking about buying a Mac, but is saying its close to $2,000. Just getting info so I can talk with knowledge. The outpatient facility he is getting cancer treatment at has Ethernet ports in the rooms, but no wifi.
