Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I would not want to be this man's assistant (who does not deal with his finances and cannot help you with reimbursing him).

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I love that he states upfront that he may just pull out his computer at dinner and start answering e-mail.

He's also very specific about sleeping temperatures, but I can't fault him there. I am the princess and the goddamn pea when it comes to sleep.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

what kills me is that he said he would stay in a private home (with a door that closes), but can you imagine him as a houseguest?

the list of banned foods?

not asking him if he needs anything ever?

with my inferior wifi?

Our wings are not tired.

Yeah, the beginning was like a totally reasonable frequently asked questions/so you want to host a talk thing. Useful, and means fewer things you'd have to bug him about. By the end, though...dang.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

put him in cheap (for the area) motel/hotel with good wifi, and eating places next store.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

No--his computer rarely works with wireless networks and he refuses to load any non-free driver. Also, the hotel/motel might ask for his name, and he refuses to give that. That was a fascinating read, LeN. I even went over to read his FAQ on GNU/Linux. I like where he states flatly that Linux people don't care about freedom, and pretty much that Torvalds is a punk that owes everything to him.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Yeah, and he won't have a cell phone of his own because they make it easy for The Man to track him, but he might want to borrow yours.

Our wings are not tired

He lives in a very different world than I do.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Couldn't he get a prepaid from 7-11 and take out the SIM card?
