No--his computer rarely works with wireless networks and he refuses to load any non-free driver. Also, the hotel/motel might ask for his name, and he refuses to give that. I do know one person who would be almost perfect to host him. They own a very indulged parrot, have a spare room, would be fine with leaving a guest alone, have a professional quality internet connection that can use free software (they run a magazine out of their home). They would have no objection to a guest checking email at the table - their modus oporendi when they have no guest which they normally put aside for guests. And they usually don't have time to cook, and just order delivery takeout and would be find with a guest choosing which takeout to order. The one fatal flaw: as a I said a highly indulged parrot, for whose comfort they keep the house at a minimum of 72 degrees F.
