Yeah, and he won't have a cell phone of his own because they make it easy for The Man to track him, but he might want to borrow yours.

Couldn't he get a prepaid from 7-11 and take out the SIM card?

I'm sure there would be a credit card involved somehow, and that would be bad.

Also, it would have to be an unlocked cell phone that works on a carrier that runs only free software on all of the hardware in their towers, and that he isn't currently boycotting.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I do know one person who would be almost perfect to host him. They own a very indulged parrot, have a spare room, would be fine with leaving a guest alone, have a professional quality internet connection that can use free software (they run a magazine out of their home). They would have no objection to a guest checking email at the table - their modus oporendi when they have no guest which they normally put aside for guests. And they usually don't have time to cook, and just order delivery takeout and would be find with a guest choosing which takeout to order. The one fatal flaw: as a I said a highly indulged parrot, for whose comfort they keep the house at a minimum of 72 degrees F.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I've been using an Airport Express for my wireless network for several years now. The past few months, there have been a bunch of times when it stopped working, and I had to unplug it and plug it in again to get it to work. Today, it seems to have stopped working entirely -- the light stays flashing orange, and there's no signal. Is there something I can do to fix this, or should I just figure it's at the end of its life and get a new one?

Hey. New board.

I'm surprised your Airport Express lasted so long as a primary router - I had bad luck with them, and eventually bit the bullet and switched to the the Extreme.

I'd go for a new one, honestly.
