Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I have 80 apps now. I don't really think in terms of the total number, but more than 5 screens and I stop having an easy feel for where to find something. I don't see going up to a whole lot more apps but grouping and labeling them thematically would be killer.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks, dcp. Seems there was an issue of root access standing between me and file transfer. I'll try that app.

amych, how many of those apps do you use on a weekly basis?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I have about 9 screens of apps (there are gaps, so I have about 60 or so). I purged a bunch of apps because I hate scrolling screen by screen to find something.

ita, the thing about it is that you can also create web shortcuts on the iphone/touch screens, so I have about 8 icons that are really web links.

my favorite example of this is:

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I have 40 apps, and it's already unwieldy for me. Honestly I'm not sure folders would do anything for me other than keep the apps I never use even more hidden than they are right now.

Fixed now. (I removed the "?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+wired%2Findex+%28Wired%3A+Index+3+%28Top+Stories+2%29%29&utm_content=Google+Reader" from the URL but screwed it up.)
