Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If the point is to watch Hulu on your TV, don't forget you'll also need audio.

Coding and Sleeping

I've gotten used to Office 2007, things not on the ribbon can be sort of hard to find though. I can see how it would be easier than Office XP for someone just starting out.

One problem with the upgraded home computer, my work computer seems sluggish now. Applications take longer than a second to open. Firefox in particular isn't as responsive.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Like I said, tiggy, we use the S-video and then just turn the volume up on the laptop. It's not fancy sound, but it's fine for watching stuff off the web.

Once you connect the cable, you'll need to find the place on your laptop where you can switch to extended monitors. Ideally, your laptop will then be monitor 1, and your TV will be monitor 2.

You can also get a cable at Radio Shack or Best Buy that allows you to connect the headphones/speakers output on your laptop to the stereo inputs on your TV.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

do you know what the cable is called, Kristen?

Depends what the output jack of your laptop and input jack of your TV is. Typically. a laptop has an 1/8" mini jack output (like an ipod headphone jack). A TV might have stereo RCA inputs, but I'm not an expert on whether that's standard or not.

I think it's like this one.

I don't think they make the cable I have anymore. It was specifically designed to hook a laptop to a TV and it had both the s-video and the audio connectors in one cable.

ETA: This is the cable that I have.
