Depends what the output jack of your laptop and input jack of your TV is. Typically. a laptop has an 1/8" mini jack output (like an ipod headphone jack). A TV might have stereo RCA inputs, but I'm not an expert on whether that's standard or not.
I think it's like this one.
I don't think they make the cable I have anymore. It was specifically designed to hook a laptop to a TV and it had both the s-video and the audio connectors in one cable.
ETA: This is the cable that I have.
Don't waste money with Monster cables. The one Gud linked to will work just as well. Radio shack should have something non-Monster like that.
It may just be the Manhattan stores, but I've had zero luck finding non-Monster cables at Radio Shack lately. Their website still carries other options, but the stores seem to be all-Monster-all-the-time. (Maybe part of their rebranding as a cell phone store? I have no idea, but it's irritating as hell.)
Unfortunately, on an item like that Newegg will probably charge nearly the price of the cable for shipping. Going to a store will probably be cheaper.
you guys are awesome. thanks!!

Bummer. The ones here in Cambridge/Boston still have lots of non-monster cables.
