Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

This one's for amych.

I was looking at the cool French comics website and discovered the character Fantomette - a teen girl superhero.

Turns out she had her own TV show in the sixties (very Batman like. Except French and teenage girl.) and a very popular animated show in the 90s (like Batman Beyond except...you know, French and teenaged girl.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

very Batman like. Except French and teenage girl.

Aww, bless!

No comments on the new Buffy? All I can say is poor Faith. I thought you'd gotten past all this stuff at the end of season 7.

Anyone else wonder if the voice she's hearing in her head isn't really her? I certainly got that impression when she told it to shut up.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, I am too broke to pick up comics this week - so I'll be getting mine next Thursday - i.e., payday.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I found a new comic book shop in my new home and the dude totally knew his stuff. When I was giving him my titles for a pull and I mentioned Buffy, he asked me if I wanted to add Angel: After the Fall to the list.

And when I told him I wanted Mice Templar, he asked if I wanted Mouse Guard, too.

I think I'm going to get good service here.

That's wonderful, Cashmere.

I just started picking up Mouse Guard, myself (thank you, Unshelved). Is Mice Templar similar?

Haven't gotten Buffy #8 yet.

Mice Templar is a bit darker--I described it upthread as a cross between Excalibur and The Secret of NIMH. I'm enjoying both stories. I'm going to spring for hard cover Fall 1152 of Mouse Guard.

That sounds right up my alley. Thanks!
