Yes it was! We went to your local store, and ended up spending a buncha money on some trades we've been meaning to pick up.
It amuses me that my "local" store is a PITA drive for me, and just a quick walk for you.
And Suela: hee! to your first WF.
Discussion of comics, graphic novels, and more. Except for capes. No capes!

I thought Julie was Mary's best friend.
Yay for being Kripked!
FCBD fangirl squee: You people have no idea how happy I am that The Umbrella Academy doesn't suck. In fact, it's pretty good! I thought it was a lot of fun, and am looking forward to seeing what happens in upcoming issues.
It should be noted that when I suggested Jilli pick up two copies of The Umbrella Academy so that she could pull one apart, sprinkle it in sugar and roll around in it, I got the LOOK.
IJS.
I got the LOOK.
Deservedly so, sarkypants who hasn't even read the comic in question yet.
I dropped sarypants' name at my comic shop, yesterday.
Oh, yes, Cindy? My poor lil ego awaits the details...
edit: My ego also likes to double-post.
Oh, I loved The Umbrella Academy. I'm so glad I picked that up for FCBD.
Thanks to Buffy and SPN: Origins, I'm afraid I'm getting sucked back into the comics habit.
I dropped it to a friend of ours. He was just leaving the shop with his son, as we were getting there. He mentioned there was a Magic: The Gathering tournament going on inside. I asked if he'd played (he is big into comics and has written some RPGs). He said he had, and I asked if he knew of you. When he did, I said you were a friend of mine. I believe he said, "Wow. Pete Venters, really?" and then asked how I knew you. So I said I became friends with your wife, online.
The online part always feels so lame.
