Oh yeah!
FCBD! Which is also Sale Day at my local store. Gah. EVIL!
Damn it. I just SPENT nine bazillion bucks on my backlog. But... TRADES!
I have Runaways #25 and #26, a burning oost to read, very little willpower and zero backstory.
I have Runaways #26. Did Joss start writing with #25? My comic shop was busy, because of FCBD. The kids got Legion, Spider-Man, and Transformers. Scott bought a Mad Magazine book. I got the free BSG #0, which is a flip book with The Lone Ranger. I finally picked up my BtVS S8 #3, too (and got one of the variant covers -- which is Willow and Xander assembling a giant Buffy puzzle. Now, I'm off for my seven minutes in heaven, with it.
Cindy, he did start with #25.
BtVS S8 #3
Oh, page 3. That's what everyone was talking about. And look at j wee wee in the dream space. Ha!
Ethan Rayne does look right -- looks too young. In a couple of panels, I had to remember he wasn't Xander (the ones where he's quite small).
Giles ! Finally, Giles . I take it that's supposed to be Andrew holding the hand of cards ?
I think that either Xander or Willow kissed her. Probably Xander.
So, that thing was Warren. I am not surprised, but ewwww .
Now I have to go back and read what everyone else said. Mostly, I'm thinking these better start coming out every week, or they'd better start being twice as long, because it's not satisfying. The story is good, but it feels like perpetual teasing, with each issue.
I finally got hold of SPN: Origins and dear heavens, I am flailing mightily over Missouri. She rocks, truly and utterly. The panel that killed me was the one of wee!Dean in the back seat looking over wee!Sammy in his car seat. I'm holding out hope that we'll get to see Bobby, Pastor Jim, and even Bill Harvelle.
The one thing I'm wondering about, though, is why Julie was apparently torn to shreds but the two boys were left untouched.
Oh, and I just noticed: on one page, Missouri's visions seem to refer to the Hookman, the Vanir from "Scarecrow," and Bloody Mary's mirror. Not sure what, if anything, the other images on that page are supposed to reference.
Thanks, Cashmere. I guess I'd better read the wiki victor linked to, before I hit issue #26. I just bought it because of j wee wee. Darn him.

Yes it was! We went to your local store, and ended up spending a buncha money on some trades we've been meaning to pick up.
Okay, so Lee made up for the fact that I find comics shops (even the bright airy ones) completely alien and intimidating, and lent me SPN #1.
We whitefont here? I guess we do.
Plei! I am Kripke'd! See? The demons are after the boys! ::dances in my seat::
I did like Missouri's agency although she looked nothing like the actress (but then John looked nothing like JDM). What was she doing in the bar? Was she looking for John? Also, couldn't she have armed him a little better?
Who was Julie? Not Mike's wife, apparently, because otherwise we'd have learned about her in Home. Family? Friend? And never mentioned again.
I am thrilled to death that John has to run right away, that he knows that something is after the boys. It explains so much: he didn't get obsessed, the obsession was forced upon him. It was learn or die.
Change or Die, dude--and that is my bulletproof kink.
So, yeah, I'm on board, if only for how they're informing the backstory and how it reinforces what I already believed.

It amuses me that my "local" store is a PITA drive for me, and just a quick walk for you.
And Suela: hee! to your first WF.
