Wesley: Hey. Hey, Gunn. Is something weird going on? … Charles, you just peed on my shoes. Gunn: I'll be damned. That's weird.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

Very cool, Sail!

Hey, you obviously don't have to answer, but - in those photos you look a lot like my grandmother whose maiden name was Romeo - do you have Italian ancestors?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Not that I'm aware of. It's all northern Europe (England, France, Scotland) and Ukraine.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Scribd is adding a ton of comics for $9/month: [link] I'm curious to see how this works out.

Which reminds me I'm way behind on Sex Criminals and Lumberjanes. Dang.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Which reminds me I'm way behind on Sex Criminals and Lumberjanes. Dang.

I saw the trade for Rat Queens the other day and totally wanted it.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Lumberjanes was/is my favorite comic of 2014. It is exceptional. I didn't expect BoomBox to come out with something so intelligent.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I got the first TPB of Rat Queens for Christmas. I enjoyed it a lot, though some of the violence was a little more than I cared for.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I've never seen a single issue send shockwaves through the comics industry the way that Lumberjanes #1 did since, like, TMNT #1.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

Tom - how so? I remember the critical reaction being pretty positive, but nothing earth-shaking.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

In the span of a few months, the number of woman-focused titles at DC and Marvel about doubled, including Gotham Academy, which is almost a clone of Lumberjanes. Marvel hired away Boom's top talent. DC did a 180°, abandoning their New 52, 1990s-style, grim-n-gritty house style in favor of lighter fare like Harley Quinn, a revamped Batgirl, Bat-Mite, etc.

Hmm. What TV network would pick up Sex Criminals? [link]
