What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

What, the bit about how Marko knew Alana could do anything? I was more concerned with the possibility that he'd been wrong. In any case, I loved seeing The Will AND HIS SISTER and also the timejump oh my God toddler Hazel.

My comic book store, Bergen St. Comics, will stop shelving most DC and Marvel comics.

However, customers will still be able to subscribe to or preorder those books through the Park Slope store.

Writing on Twitter, co-owner Tom Adams explained the decision “Will enable us to better serve our customers. Strength of self contained, creator controlled comics will let us move away from double shipping, editorially driven, artist-swapping, inconsistent, tied into events/gimmicks comics. Trying to keep this a going concern/think long term.”

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Wow. I understand the desire to get away from the DC/Marvel model, but that's a radical step. I hope it works, but I'd be surprised if it did. I don't think there's enough indie comic fans to sustain it.

Most of their stock is GNs, anyway. And Desert Island Comics, in Williamsburg, is even more indie.

Relatedly-ish, Noelle Stevenson doesn't go to comic book stores anymore.

Somewhat unfortunately, the best way to guarantee the success of her new comic, Lumberjanes, is to pre-order it through your local comic book store.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I've been to Bergen St Comics with Scola (*coughBRAGcough*), and if any place can get by just fine without Marvel/DC monthlies... yeah.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I would read "Adjective Avengers". IJS.

I can't believe how many Avengers titles there are. Has it always been like that? When did they become the new X-Men?

Oh hey can we talk about how great Ms. Marvel is? Because it is great.
