Steph,
No, you should be fine if you are familiar with the comics versions of the characters. While some things are different and some characters' relative ages have been shifted a bit, none of them are drastically different than their counterparts. There's actually a 5-year time skip from the end of season 1 to beginning of season 2, which makes a lot of things "start from scratch" anyway.
You will miss out on some of the import of the story arcs related to Aqualad and Artemis, but you shouldn't be confused.
I would suggest watching Season 1 anyway, because it's awesome, even if it doesn't have any Blue Beetle.
Deadpool vs. NY Comic-con [link] Lots of cross-players in this one.
On re-watch I realized "Wow, the official cosplayer for the Deadpool game is one big dude."
Young Justice: Roy's a clone? The hell?
The Scarab is not Kord tech, damn it. I mean, the pre-new 52 explanation (alien tech from an alien race that wanted to enslave the Earth [like you do]) doesn't lend itself to a team show, but -- damn it, it's alien tech!
The bloodthirstiness is about right, though.
The Bat-family is awesome, although I don't know how I feel about having Barbara as Batgirl.
Roy's a CLONE?

Also, Impulse FTW!
What episode are you up to, Steph?
I finished "Depths" tonight.
Roy's a CLONE?
Yeah, that would be another major plot point you missed out on with Season 1. Forgot about that one. I apologize.
But as for the Scarab? Just wait.
There's some rumors flying around that DC has lost the rights to the Milestone characters and that's the reason behind the last-minute yank, but I can't find anything concrete either way.
I did find someone ranting about how greedy the Siegel family is for fighting with DC about the Superman rights. @@
Here's a summary of all the rumors: [link]
To me, the January return date suggests that it was done to appease advertisers, who do most of their big buys leading up to Christmas.
Of course, the REAL reason is [link]
