Cordelia: I get it now. You're all spies. Probably all Russian. And you've brainwashed me, and want me to believe we're friends so I'll spill the beans about some nano-technology thingy that you want. Gunn: So I look Russian to you? Cordelia: Black Russian. Angel: That's a drink.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I completely don't follow F4. Is this a reasonable jibe? Does he respond in kind?

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I have no idea what the joke is there, ita. Of course, I don't really follow FF either.

I'm assuming it's a dig at her sleeping with (or wanting to) Namor.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oooh. Okay, that makes more sense.

Ah, yes. I'd forgotten about that.

I'm bouncing around the web, looking at various comic artists and the responses to same. I just have to say--after the Greg Horn section, I wanted to disinfect myself. When it looks too slutty for Emma Frost--recalibrate.

Anyway--I'm looking at this Sam Keith, and while it's deliberately stylised, I don't think that kind of stylisation has much to offer to those characters--was this title a comedy? I don't recall having read it.

And defense of this seems to be of the ilk of "I don't see why you wouldn't like it"--but maybe I just read that wrong. I have to have read that wrong. Because...it's hideous. And not in the Sienkiewicz way, which is my bar for non-representative comic art.

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

I think maybe in the second one he is deliberately parodying Leifeld? That was kind of the point of AzBats.

85, though. Good long run.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Joe Kubert, RIP.

If I lived to 85 with his legacy I'd die a happy man.

I loved his art so much. Easily my favorite of the classic era DC artists.

Big fan of his Tarzan and Enemy Ace and Sgt. Rock stories.
