I can't believe they even printed it. It was so awful.

Speaking of which, did anyone else read the letters column at the back? Did anyone else want to never stop screaming after the second-to-last letter?
I figured that the VERY obvious lack-of-response to that letter (b/c [1] the last line of the letter was "I would appreciate a reply," and [2] all the other letters had responses) was meant to be a VERY obvious *response*. (That response being, essentially, fuck you and the 'ship you sailed in on, you crazy fangirl.)
I believe the letter JZ mentions is the one which reads:
Dear Mr. Whedon,
I've been a fan of yours for quite a while now. I'm addicted to Buffy, have collected Astonishing X-Men since the first issue was released, and as a Wonder Woman fan, I am greatly looking forward to the movie. Most of all, I'm eagerly awaiting your work on the Season Eight comic book from Dark Horse, and your run on Runaways (here's hoping for Karolina and Nico!).
My purpose in writing this letter, however, has to do with Buffy. As I'm sure you've heard many times before, I was hoping for a bit more of a conclusion to the series (although the ongoing comic will be much better than and end!), and as a devoted Willow and Tara fan, I was dearly hoping to see Tara come back as you'd originally planned. To me and many others, Kennedy should never have existed, and is merely a rebound for Willow. I would like to give you great encouragement to bring Tara back -- and hopefully a later date will see a Buffy movie come out and revive even more of the fandom. Please remember that we (the Willow and Tara fans) outnumber the Willow and Kennedy fans greatly -- just look online, at fanfiction.net, at a site hosting videoes, anywhere.
Willow and Tara are what first drew me to Buffy. The were made for each other, and as sad as I am to say this, if you decide that they are never to be again, I will most likely drift away from the Buffyverse.
I can only hope you won't make that mistake.

P.S.: When my website goes online in around a month, I am planning on giving full support to the comic, mentioning it, and doing everything I can. But if needed, I will have a petition up for Willow and Tara -- and if I disapprove, I can assure you that I will make my feelings known. I hope with all my heart that will not be the case, and I would greatly appreciate a reply.
Like I said, the very pointed LACK of a reply pretty much served as the best reply possible.
If Joss responds, "Stop reading and the pain will go away," I may have to leave Scott, and marry him.
Hahahahahahahah! whew. I'm going to quote the FNL Recapper here: "And, LISTEN TO ME, Kevin Reilly, if you don't let us see Jason make the transition between thinking about coaching and actually coaching, well...I'm going to be really, really mad. Over here on the internet." Heh.
Really enjoyed Buffy #2.
Seems very obvious to me that Amy's monster beau is Warren. Hence the skinless freakiness which is scaring everybody.
Seems likely that the waking kiss will be from Xander.
It's funny how all the extra slayers are much more background noise than distracting as they were in the TV show. I think the small screen just looked crowded with them, whereas here they kind of read like Star Trek security dudes who don't all need to have names. You can just throw out a detail here and there and some of them will be foregrounded.

Heh.
You know, the whitefont makes me want to completely divorce the comics from my view of actual canon. But, you know, I have some serious retcon issues, plus some other pre-existing metatextual issues with the notion of that particular potential hook up, and really... well, it's sounding more and more to me like the comics are concentrated bits of What I Find Problematic in the Jossverse.
Oh well.
Plei! Are you reading JLA? Did you read JLA #7?
Plei you had issues with the heroine hooking up with the creator's avatar, right?
