"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

So, Buffy Season 8. I tried to keep up, but gave it up after the Fray stuff (about midway through), but decided to skim through some of the collections in the bookstsore.

Buffy and Angel zooming around earth naked having sex and causing the earth's temperature to rise? What the hell was that?!?!?! Ack!

I assume someone introduced Joss to high grade recreational drugs just before he began that arc.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Now I want to read Flaspoint, and I'm realizing that it's been so long since I've ahemed anything that I've totally forgotten how. I mean really. I didn't even know that the Azureus client became Vuze.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

W00T!

Big paycheck for Jill Thompson and Evan Dorkin.

I'm still not thrilled about the Babs-as-Batgirl reboot, but ye gods, I love me some Gail Simone: "How do you think the biases are working out for white straight guys in general so far?".

Wow. If Dude is as threatened as he seems to be by the encroachment of a staggering 2% of pros being women in his chosen field, perhaps he should look into a career where he'll face less competition for jobs by women.

Mind you, professional sperm donation is the only likely candidate I can think of at the moment.

It's funny (in the sense that it's not) that he's so blind to the essential problem. Oh well, that's why they call it "privilege." Anyway, I always think, "You know, this is why the legal standard for these things is often to just to look at the numbers and the pattern they reveal."

You cannot say the system is equitable and it's just a problem of not enough women working their way through the process when the results are 98%.
