It's funny (in the sense that it's not) that he's so blind to the essential problem. Oh well, that's why they call it "privilege." Anyway, I always think, "You know, this is why the legal standard for these things is often to just to look at the numbers and the pattern they reveal."

(This exact conversation is happening right now in the skeptical community. The "Well maybe the most qualified people just happen to be white guys! Why do you care so much about skin color/gender anyway?" argument gets old after the first three or four hundred times.)
